Finalists for the 58th annual Nebula Awards, to be awarded in 2023 for works published in 2022, have been announced in categories for novel, novella, novelette, short story, and game writing. (Associated SFWA awards for YA fiction and dramatic presentation will be posted shortly.)
Last year’s winner were P. Djèlí Clark, Premee Mohamed, Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki, Sarah Pinsker, and six credited writers for the game Thirsty Sword Lesbians.
Ekpeki won last year for novelette “O2 Arena”; other previous winners on this year’s list are Nicola Griffith, for the novel Slow River in 1997, Kelly Robson, for novelette “A Human Stain” in 2018, and John Wiswell, for short story “Open House on Haunted Hill” in 2021.
This year’s results will be announced Sunday, May 14, 2023, during the 2023 Nebula Conference Online held online and in-person in Anaheim, CA.
