Like the Big Heart Award, the First Fandom Hall of Fame Award is best-known as a preliminary event at the annual Hugo Awards ceremony. It is presented to a member of "First Fandom"--a member of the fan community active at the time of the first World SF Convention--for service to SF. First Fandom also presents the Sam Moskowitz Archive Award, for excellence in science fiction collecting.
